Cameron Highlands Attractions - The Farms
Traveling around Cameron Highlands, you will be able to see many farms located in various places. Many of the vegetables supplied in Malaysia and to Singapore are grown here. The farms were initially established in the 1930's to supply markets in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. The cool damp climate is ideal for growing both fruit and vegetables.
You can find vegetable farms spread throughout the highlands from Ringlet to Kampung Raja. In order to maximize the land usage, some of the farms are carved right on to the steep hillside. Many are terraced neatly on the hillsides and it makes for an interesting view.

The range of produce is quite extensive and includes cabbages, broccoli, cauliflowers, potatoes, leeks, baby corn, peppers, brussel sprouts, lettuce, chili's and tomatoes. The range of fruit is no less impressive and includes apples, oranges, strawberries, tangerine oranges, grapefruit, and passion fruit.
Many of the farms run their own shop outlet, and prices are very reasonable.

Hi My friend, this is very interesting! I have an allotment in UK which I grow my own veg. as well. Just had another cabbage tonight and it was delicious. Does the farm open to public and do you allow to pick your veg. and pay for it?
