Cameron Highlands Attractions - Bee Farm
The Honey Bee Farm (Ee Feng Gu Farm) is among the agro-tourism attractions in Cameron Highlands apart from the tea plantations. Ee Feng Gu Farm is situated 5km from the central of Cameron Highlands. Located in the Kea Farm area, the farm is said to be one of the must visit in Cameron Highlands.
Ee Feng Gu farm has already gone through 3 generations; therefore it is very experienced in this field. In addition to that, many local and international bee farmer have came to gain more experience and also exchange opinions on how to look after the bees. Furthermore, after years and years of hardship, Ee Feng Gu has now expanded the bee farm to a larger of space. Ee Feng Gu is open daily from 8 am to 7 pm. There is not a single entrance charges, every visit to the bee farm is free of charge.
At the farm, visitors would be briefed on the benefits of honey, sampling of the honey and followed by a tour of the farm (unguided). What are interesting here are the various large figurines of bee scattered all over the farm. Although the bees have poisonous sting, but it is always under tight control and it would not simply sting anyone. Therefore, it is very save and encourageable to bring along children so that they can learn more about the nature of bees and honey. Honey related products such as pure honey, royal jelly and pollen are also on sale here.
